Top 10 Rookie Recivers So far this year

JORDAN ADDISON
JAXON SMITH-NJIGBA

10. JAXON SMITH-NJIGBA

While he was the highest picked receiver in this past year’s draft, he has been quite disappointing. Smith-Njigba has on 20 catches for 173 yards and 1 touchdown. Thats why he is 10th on are list. Although he had a nice game last week against the Cardinals, where he scored his first touchdown. A lot of his production has been believed to have been shaved off due to lots of 2 tightened sets. This caused by a heavily injured offensive line.

JAYDEN REED

9. JAYDEN REED

Jayden Reed was a 2nd round pick this last year for the Packers and has found himself as the 3rd receiver on the Packers depth chart. A lot of this is due to having Christian Watson and Romeo Dobbs, who has been much better this year than his rookie year. Jayden Reed has had his fair share of opportunity though because of Watson missing about half the season up until this point. He currently has 16 catches for 231 yard and 3 touchdowns.

MICHAEL WILSON

8. MICHAEL WILSON

Wilson currently has 21 catches for 343 yards and 2 touchdowns. Taken by the Cardinals in this past year’s draft, there was much speculation that Wilson might have a bad rookie year. That has not been the case. This was thought to happen due to Kyler Murray being on IR, and possibly missing the entire season. He is currently 3rd on the team’s depth chart at receiver. He has impressed enough for fans of the Cardinals to think that he is better then Rondale Moore, who is 2nd on the depth chart.

TANK DELL

7. TANK DELL

Tank Dell currently has 19 catches for 324 yards and 2 touchdowns. What really separates him from other guys on this list is how much of an impact he has made on a rookie quarterback. Of course, we are talking about Cj Stroud who has looked like the guy who should have been the number 1 pick in this year’s draft. As he has shown up big in multiple games and had a much larger impact on the games he played in.

JAKE BOBO

6. JAKE BOBO

This is probably the most unexpected player to be on this list. Jake Bobo only has 8 catches for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns so far this year. So, you’re probably wondering why he is here? We’ll let it be known that Bobo is by far one of the best blockings receivers in the NFL this year. He has been tossing guys to the ground all year and setting the edge for runners on the Seahawks. Finally, you may not think of that being top 10 worthy, but coaches of NFL teams value that very much.

RASHEE RICE

5. RASHEE RICE

The Chiefs have lost Tyreek Hill, Juju Smith-Schuster, Sammy Watkins, and multiple other pieces to this offense over the last few years. What Rashee Rice has been able to do and come in and have 26 catches for 305 yards and 3 touchdowns is mind boggling. Many Chiefs fans would tell you this guy is the 2nd or 3rd option on pass plays. Obviously behind Travis Kelce and maybe Kadarius Toney. His yards are not as good as a few guys below him, but what he has added to this championship caliber team is quite amazing.

ZAY FLOWERS

4. ZAY FLOWERS

Flowers has had more than a few bad drops this year. Somehow that still allowed him to have 39 catches for 442 yards and 3 touchdowns. Zay has been the missing piece to this Raven’s receiving core. And it has finally all come together as they blew the Lions out last week who were 5 and 1 going into that game. The same team who beat the Super Bowl champion Chiefs week 1.

JORDAN ADDISON

3. JORDAN ADDISON

Addison has been nothing less than spectacular this year. He currently has 29 catches for 400 yards and 6 touchdowns. Averaging 13.8 yards per reception is nutty to say the least. He was a huge component in beating the Minnesota Vikings this past week. As he scored 2 touchdowns which put him on 6 for the year. That is 2nd in the NFL behind Tyreek Hill.

JOSH DOWNS

2. JOSH DOWNS

This may be a surprise to some, but not us. Downs has been fantastic this year for the Colts. He has been perhaps the best receiver on the team. Totaling 33 catches for 402 yards and 2 touchdowns. These numbers may not seem as good as Zay Flowers or Jordan Addison, yet Downs has played with 2 different QBs this year who have not put it all together yet. And has been a safety blanket for them at some point or author in each game.

PUKA NACUA

1. PUKA NACUA

Nacua has been nothing less than special this year. He was a 5th round pick that almost no one would have thought to be this great to start off the season. We are looking at a guy with 58 catches for 582 yards and 2 touchdowns. Some thought he may fall off after Cooper Kupp came back, but instead he had one of his best games, his 2nd week with Kupp back. He has also been perhaps the best waiver wire add in all of fantasy football this year.
