Could Colorado Pickup This 5-Star Offensive Tackle From LSU?

Who is Lance Heard?

Lance Heard is a 5-star offensive tackle who is 6 ft 6 and 310 pounds, according to 247 Sports. Heard was listed as a defensive lineman in high school but then transitioned to offensive tackle during his junior year. He is still somewhat raw in pass protection but is super athletic and already very good at run blocking. His Top 5 schools coming out of high school were LSU, Nebraska, Arkansas State, Baylor, and Colorado. With him leaving LSU, they are out the window; Nebraska is getting better but still needs to arrive. Arkansas State and Baylor are both viewed as harmful programs that could be more capable of being a top 25 team in the nation. At the same time, Colorado continues to add high-level players to their team. They are now joining the Big 12, which is nowhere better than the Pac 12 was this past year. So what are the chances that Colorado can land Heard?

Can Colorado Land Heard?

Colorado continues to try to add high-level offensive linemen. Jordan Seaton, the number 1 offensive tackle in the class of 2024, has already signed his letter of commitment to Colorado, and they said multiple offensive linemen through the portal from schools like UConn, Arkansas, and Houston. Adding a 5-star offensive tackle who will be a red-shirt freshman next could give Colorado a 4-year starter. Having Coach Prime and a superstar QB like Shedeur Sanders could get a guy of this magnitude to come to Boulder, Colorado. A video surfaced of Seaton and Shedeur Sanders riding in Miami a week ago. So the chances of him going to Colorado are high, according to Sports Illustrated
